Students may have caught sight of the Divine 9 Black Greek Letter Organizations stepping or strolling on UK's campus before and during events like Stompapalooza or during “yard shows. It was founded at Morgan State College in Baltimore, Md., in 1963. Is the youngest of the “Divine 9,” the predominantly African American fraternities and sororities that make up the National Pan-Hellenic Council. The “Stomp the Hill” Step Show was put on by the divine 9, a collective of African-American fraternities and sororities, with a rich history going back over 80 years. Iota Phi Theta ® Fraternity Inc. Out of the nine NPHC organizations, six will be competing at the step show this year: Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
